Product description: Circadin® (melatonin) is prescribed for short-term treatment of primary insomnia, characterised by poor quality of sleep in patients who are 55 or over. Circadin® is in-licensed from Neurim Pharmaceuticals.

Medical need: Insomnia not only affects the individual’s ability to perform normal daily functions, but also poses health risks, including depression, anxiety, and an increased chance of accidents. Market research has shown that people suffering from insomnia are reluctant to take conventional sleep medications due to fear of dependency and side effects. For this reason, they often do not seek medical consultation but use various over-the-counter (OTC), herbal remedies and alcohol, with limited effect.
