Pantoprazole

Product description: Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) indicated for symptoms of stomach and intestinal gastric ulcers, heartburn, Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), and other related gastrointestinal diseases.

The prescription product is marketed in more than 90 countries under a variety of brand names, including Pantozol®, Controloc®, Pantoloc®, Zurcal® and in the US by our partner Wyeth under the brand name Protonix®. Since it was launched in 1994, Pantoprazole has been used by over 750 million patients.

In 2009, Pantozol Control®, an over-the-counter presentation of Pantoprazole, was launched in the European Union for the treatment of heartburn.
