Riopan®

Product description: Riopan® (magaldrate)  is an antacid, taken as a gel or tablet, that acts quickly against heartburn. Riopan® is available as a prescription drug and an over-the-counter (OTC) presentation.

Medical need: Heartburn, also known as acid reflux, is caused by stomach fluids that enter the esophagus, resulting in a painful, burning sensation in the throat and chest. Heartburn may be triggered by particular foods, caffeinated drinks, alcohol, smoking or other factors. It is an extremely common condition that affects millions of people on a regular basis.
