Gloria Pizio is a student artist with a professional background in advertising, during which time she developed art-related strengths in photography, graphic design, colour and painting principles. Gloria’s art is informed by her life choices, experience and lifelong commitment to education. Often using her own photography as the basis for her artwork, Gloria’s work includes painting, printmaking, video presentations and photographic stills.
To date, Gloria’s work has expressed concern for issues regarding humanity, including values and social relationships, as well as the exploration of identity through portraits and figurative work. Gloria is engaged with aspects of contemporary art including conceptual art and minimalism and is exploring philosophical, metaphysical and existential questions and concepts. Gloria seeks to translate ideas into art and provoke the view to “think about” what they see.
